Our community consists of more than 250 families in Central and Southern Ohio. Our goal is to
keep our Armenian heritage, culture and Christian faith and to help families or individuals who
just arrived to the United States, to fully integrate them into the American culture and way of life.
There are Armenian communities all over the world, each with its own "variations" of the
Armenian culture. We are a people of common heritage, but we also understand that Armenian
communities in different parts of the world, have been influenced by the local culture and customs
of their adopted countries.
Our community includes Armenian families who have lived in the United States for a number of
generations and families who recently immigrated from other countries. Depending on their
country of origin, theses families have their own "fingerprint" of cultural variation, a view of
Armenian customs and traditions. Despite those differences, we still share our history and
Christian faith. We are a people who has risen from ashes many times over. Being together is the
only way to keep our community alive and hold on to our national Christian faith, and the new
generation needs our cultural influence.
We created this web-page, in an attempt to consolidate and represent Armenians of Central and
Southern Ohio. We will constantly develop reorganize and enhance the information and
capabilities of this site based on the input and suggestions of members.
